The story behind keytype
keytype started in 2023 as a personal project built by a single student developer, working on it in spare time alongside studies. There's no company behind it — just one person who wanted a typing trainer that felt fast, clean, and free of the ads and paywalls found on most competitors.
keytype is free to use and always will be. There are no ads, no premium tiers, and no plans to add any — accounts, duels, leaderboards and every mode are available to everyone at no cost. This is a passion project, not a business.
